About Miranda Davis

MIRANDA DAVIS was created to teach, lead and bring healing to others. Her journey began as a dancer and award-winning choreographer with a passion for movement. In her early 20's, she discovered Yoga and was immediately hooked. At the time Miranda struggled with a chronic health issue and credited Yoga as part of her healing. Miranda applies a naturopathic approach to health in her teachings and embraces wellness in the realm of Mind/Body/Spirit. Her studio PerfectFit, derived from Col 1:28, is Fort Worth's first faith-based studio. The love of Jesus is the root of Miranda's teachings, using scripture and biblical truth for class themes and meditation.

Miranda holds a degree in Exercise Physiology and is an E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance. She began teaching Yoga and Pilates in 2002, accumulating several thousand hours of accredited instruction time. Before ownership of PerfectFit, Miranda was Senior Master Trainer for YogaFit worldwide training systems. For many years she enjoyed traveling the globe as an international educator, certifying instructors in the YogaFit style. Miranda has appeared in media outlets for television, local and national news publications, magazines, Yoga/fitness modeling books, and workout DVDs.

In addition to PerfectFit, Miranda currently teaches with Amon Carter Museum of American Art. The program, Itty Bitty Art: Yoga integrates yoga and artwork for infants, toddlers, and parents. She also shares her expertise in wellness with TCU extended education, giving lectures on a variety of topics from meditation to essential oils. Miranda enjoys public speaking, providing wellness seminars on Mind/Body and Faith-based topics, and mentoring women who desire positive life change. In 2018, she launched her blog The Insightful Life to encourage women to live a life of truth, purpose, and abundance.

As much as Miranda loves her professional life, she says her most important role is being a wife and mother. As a family, they enjoy their church community, relish outdoor adventures, travel often, and spend quality time with friends and family.

Teaching Philosophy

Our wellness community is warm, inviting and friendly! We believe in honoring the body and have a variety of students in age, shape, and physical conditioning. Our hope for all participants is to develop a healthy mind/body/spirit and develop a better relationship with YOU! PerfectFit offers both modified and advanced options for proper alignment and safety, accommodating all levels of practice. Our fun, creative approach to instruction is well balanced in the realm of strengthening, toning, and flexibility. Each class is a unique experience with a different scriptural truth weekly, making PerfectFit a Fort Worth first in Faith-based fitness classes. We love the spiritual renewal of our classes and incorporate meditative techniques with our Pranayama (breath work), use of essential oils, and sound healing through music.

Amon Carter Yoga Series

We hope you'll join us for our new, free yoga series in April. Miranda Davis, of PerfectFit Yoga, leads Vinyasa-style classes inspired by the exhibition A New American Sculpture. All levels of practice are welcome, and the classes will encompass breath work, poses for strength and stamina, flexibility and meditative practices, and will encourage the exploration of movement in a way that embodies power and freedom. Registration is required. Dates and times are listed below.
