In 1999, Miranda suffered from IBS, a chronic condition that brought bouts of stress and illness to her body. Looking for a more holistic approach to healing, a friend prompted her to try Yoga. Miranda was hooked after her first class. Today, she is free of IBS, and credits the mind/body/meditative elements of Yoga, along with her strong faith in Christ as being instrumental in her healing and well-being. Her inspiration to create PerfectFit was derived from scripture and Col. 1:28 "We proclaim Him admonishing and teaching in all wisdom so we may present everyone perfect in Christ."
Throughout the years, Miranda has taken her talents of Yoga and Pilates instruction around the globe to over 45 U.S. cities, Aruba, India and Taiwan. She holds a degree in Exercise Physiology, is an E-RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance, and spent several years as a Senior Master Trainer for YogaFit Worldwide. She is currently pursuing a RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance, which will be completed by the end of 2014.
She has been featured as an expert source both locally and nationally in various media outlets, including: Veria Living Channel, NBC, CW, Good Morning Texas, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Fort Worth Business Press, Indulge Magazine and more. She has also been featured in an Oli Berry documentary with Miracle Entertainment, has modeled professionally for Yoga and Pilates fitness books and websites, and gives health and wellness seminars to various corporations. Currently, she is working as a writer and contributing fitness expert for Fit Worth, which is Mayor Betsy Price’s initiative to make Fort Worth a top fit city.
In Miranda's free time, she can be found enjoying afternoons at the lake, trying new restaurants, or going on RV camping trips with her husband and two young boys.
