About Miranda Davis

MIRANDA DAVIS has joyfully taught dancers and fitness enthusiasts since 1993. From a very early age, Miranda felt a strong connection to movement and a desire to educate others. Dancing was her first love, and she was instructing by the age of 18.

In 1999, Miranda suffered from IBS, a chronic condition that brought bouts of stress and illness to her body. Looking for a more holistic approach to healing, a friend prompted her to try Yoga. Miranda was hooked after her first class. Today, she is free of IBS, and credits the mind/body/meditative elements of Yoga, along with her strong faith in Christ as being instrumental in her healing and well-being. Her inspiration to create PerfectFit was derived from scripture and Col. 1:28 "We proclaim Him admonishing and teaching in all wisdom so we may present everyone perfect in Christ."

Throughout the years, Miranda has taken her talents of Yoga and Pilates instruction around the globe to over 45 U.S. cities, Aruba, India and Taiwan. She holds a degree in Exercise Physiology, is an RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance, and spent several years as a Senior Master Trainer for YogaFit Worldwide. She is currently taking educational courses towards a 1000 hour accreditation program for Yoga Therapy and IAYT, the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

She has been featured as an expert source both locally and nationally in various media outlets, including: Veria Living Channel, NBC, CW 33, Good Morning Texas, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Fort Worth Business Press, Indulge Magazine and more. She has also been featured in an Oli Berry documentary with Miracle Entertainment, has modeled professionally for Yoga and Pilates fitness books and websites, and gives health and wellness seminars to various corporations. Currently, Miranda is pursuing her passion and love of Essential Oils. Miranda educates on the healing power that God provides with the use of plants, which when used therapeutically have the power to heal mentally, physically and emotionally. Miranda exclusively uses Young Living Essential and is an executive level with the company.

Miranda Davis is also an advocate for use of Essential Oils for mental, physical, and emotional healing. For many years Miranda utilized Essential Oils in her yoga practice and classes to promote relaxation. It was not until 2014 she discovered Young Living and therapeutic grade essential oils, which has been transformational in her life. Her extensive RYT 500 training also educated her in the power of these God given plants and their ability to change your health. She has developed a passion to educate and share these oils, and it has been a “PerfectFit” to her role as a health and wellness expert. You may contact Miranda about Essential Oils or Young Living via email. Miranda@1perfectfit.com She is happy to show you the oily way!

In Miranda's free time she enjoys her husband and 2 young boys….they love doing anything outdoors. She enjoys dancing, great food, good friends and has a passion to travel and see the world!

Teaching Philosophy

I approach teaching through the eyes of a student; therefore, no detail goes unnoticed.   With gentle encouragement, I help my students to have the best mental and physical experience every time we step onto the mat. I believe in a challenged yet successful approach to practice, offering both modified and advanced options. I have a profound respect for honoring our bodies, so I choose to emphasize safety and proper alignment in my instruction. I believe in creating a beautiful, serene setting that is warm and inviting—much like my teaching style. My classes are always unique, and you will never experience the same class twice. I believe in variety, as I draw upon my expansive expertise in many movement modalities. This is a fun and creative approach that still keeps each class focused on delivering the same consistent goals of strength, toning, flexibility and balance. Finally, no matter what type of movement I am teaching, I always utilize breathing and relaxation techniques, as I believe this is essential to finding true inner peace.

Testimonials

“Miranda is an awesome instructor, and I am so happy to recommend her. Everyone knows I love to be on the move and have a bit of a short attention span, but there are times that we all need to feel calm, strong and centered. Miranda is the only Pilates instructor that can help me do that. She truly gets her clients results, both physically and mentally. “ —Betsy Price, Mayor of Fort Worth

“I have been doing Pilates with Miranda for almost 10 years, and still look forward to class every week. When I started, I couldn't even do a push up; and now, I have a much stronger and healthier body. Classes are never the same, so you are always doing new things to challenge yourself. Not only do I walk out of class with a total body workout, but my mind gets a workout as well. Being a stay-at-home mom and working part time, I get pulled in lots of directions. Miranda has taught me that I deserve time for myself, to let go of my to-do list, and just focus on how I am feeling at that moment. We get so caught up in our lives that it’s nice to have an hour where you only have to think about breathing. Her message is simple but powerful: just let go.”  —Rachel Spence, Stay-at-Home Mom of 2

“My three-year old son and I loved our Mommy & Me Yoga experience with Miranda and her two boys! Her planning was spot on—the first part of the class was more active time, and the latter part was quiet time—and the kids responded well to that structure and to her guidance. The active time atmosphere was upbeat and energizing, and the quiet time was calming and a nice way for us to bond with our kids. Miranda was also great at reading the kids, giving them encouragement, but also giving them space to get comfortable with the movements. Another bonus: the fun continues at home, as my son and I practice our Yoga moves together. He loved the class, and watching him do his little Downward Dog is adorable!” —Charlotte Hogg, TCU Professor
